Helpful hints, advice and other stuff
We want to make your photography as stressfree as possible. And still ensure that you get the best photos possible. We have compiled several lists to help do just that. We've discovered that when couples keep these things in mind, they have it much easier. The links also have PDF versions of the documents available for downloading. See the bottom of the document for the link. Please note, some of the lists are very wedding-related but you can still apply them to your particular photography shoot.
Possible Wedding Shot List
- We don’t do a cookie cutter approach to a wedding, but here is a list of people we tend to put together in a photograph. Some we do multiple poses with, others are more of a spontaneous capture the moment, and then there are the ones where we have a combination of both.
- Depending on weather or not the bride and groom have a private moment prior to the ceremony part of the day will have a big impact on when and how many photos are taken.
- We will do the formal bridal party photos with all wedding parties, and then depending on your likes / suggestions and samples we also do the fun / crazy and interesting shots.
- Details – we will go through the day and take detail shots of flowers, rings, ribbons, beads, and baskets, as well as your center pieces and of course the cake!
- Hair and makeup – that’s another topic by itself, but I just want to note that your hair, dress and makeup will be freshest prior to the ceremony, we almost always do at least the bridal portrait shots prior to the wedding, and as many of the bridal party photos as well.
